Museum and keeping place

Kirrit Barreet has a small museum and keeping place that includes our timelines which are broken up in five different sections to include information on Aboriginal Australia, Koori Victoria, Kulin Nation, Wathaurong Tribe, and Ballarat Wathaurong.

We also have panels with information on the indigenous plants, Aboriginal Seasons, Black Gold (explains the impact the gold rush had on the local Aboriginal people), and Frank Wilson (King Billy).

We also have an Education room where visitors can watch a DVD on Aboriginal culture and touch and feel artefacts including a possum skin cloak.
